This is a beginner art course for those of you that want to develop your skills with Alcohol Ink. Learn to use a brush to gain confidence with alcohol Inks to create a less abstract look and start using a brush to produce a detailed painting with Alcohol Inks. I'll take you through the 2 painting scene's step by step.
We will cover in this course two 5 part sections for each flower:
1. Materials needed to create the Lilac and Sunflower.
2. How prepare your Yupo paper.
3. Learn to make petals and layered techniques to create a detailed Ink painting.
4. Learn to paint delicate petals and use a brush for a small details such as flowers, stems, and leaves.
5. How to seal the paintings.

If you are new to Udemy, please note that I use Udemy as my platform for videos, but as the instructor I do not have access to accounts or Udemy's process. Please contact the Help Desk for any Account or Technical difficulties. I will attach the Link for you. Also in this course we do not sketch this is free hand.
There is a PDF that you may print out for all supplies. We will cover all the basic materials used in this course. Alcohol Inks are a Dye and were meant for Crafts not fine art; they are NOT lightfast, therefore UV Rays and Direct sunlight may fade colors.
We will begin by prepping our paper and work space to begin our alcohol painting of the Lilac.
We will begin our Lilac shape with our first layer of ink using Twilight purple Alcohol Ink.
Time to add some details with painting a leaf.
We will begin adding a second lilac flower and begin adding more layers of detail.
Next we will create a stem with Burro Brown.
Finishing the final layers of shadows and highlights in the flower.
Some students have asked about adding a colored background in place of leaving it white, I've added an additional lecture for you. Practice on a scrap piece before to make sure you are comfortable. You may do something similar in the Sunflower too.
Ready to begin our second scene painting of a sunflower. In this lecture we will begin the shape using sunshine yellow alcohol ink.
Next we will begin painting in the center as well as a stem and leaf.
Next steps, continuing to add layers of petals and shape the sunflower.
Now to start adding some layers of detail in the center of the Sunflower.
Finishing off the final details of the painting with some whimsical dots.

They were purchased by a company called Clay Planet (Link in resources). I spoke with a rep from the company based in California US, they plan to continue to offer some of the products that Aftosa sold. (Next Lecture)
