Основной целью курса является формирование у слушателя представления о современном влиянии информационно-коммуникационных технологий на международные отношения. Будут рассмотрены основные теории информационного общества, а также концепции, позволяющие оценить влияние информационно-коммуникационных технологий на современное общество, в том числе концепция Четвертой промышленной революции Клауса Шваба; охарактеризованы перспективные направления ИКТ, в том числе развитие «больших данных» и технологий искусственного интеллекта. Охарактеризованы направления использования ИКТ в дипломатической практике, а также такая новая проблема на международной повестке дня как международной информационной безопасности, рассмотрены ключевые направления международного сотрудничества по ее преодолению.
