This is the start of the pinch pot. We see how we should position our fingers to achieve the depth required.
In this video we see how two pinched bowls can be joined together to form a sphere.
In this video we see how to turn the hollow sphere into a pot complete with it's collar.
How to make a coil and start building a pot.
Completing the pot and deciding the size of the mouth of the pot as per the pot's application.
Making a slab from clay using a rolling pin or a piece of pipe.
Using a template to cut the slab into pieces required for making the cuboid pot.
Scoring and assembling the sides of the cuboid.
Completing the assembly part and finishing the exterior.
Adding coil in corners for extra strength and example of a Rooster shaped pot made using slab technique.
Making the cuboid, adding texture, cutting it with wire and start scooping the clay.
Scoop out all unwanted clay and add lid retainer.
Adding finishing touches to the box.
Make the slab, add texture using a cloth, join the ends and make legs for the pot.
Make the pot bulge from inside and start making of the lid using pinch pot technique.
Add texture to the lid, add a handle to it and add final touches to it.
Make the body and the head shape of the hare.
Add hind legs, ears and eyes to the hare sculpture.
Use the pinch pot technique to make shell and the coiling technique to make the legs, head and tail of the tortoise.
Add texture to the tortoise shell with a piece of cloth and a tool.
Make the mouth and eyes of tortoise.
