This course will teach you how to ace the SAT Math sections in two main areas. First, you will learn three methods by which you can tackled any math problem. Second, I will take you through the core content areas you need to know to solve the entire scope of SAT math.
Find out about the SAT math section and what they will learn in this course.
This should be the primary method with which you attack problems. Never just stare at a problem or give up. Apply the SPA method immediately!
Always draw out the problem if it can be visualized.
If you're not sure how to solve the problem theoretically, don't waste time. Just plug in answer choices or test simple numbers.
Review fundamental math concepts such as system of equations.
Review all the power rules.
Learn how to avoid the common mistakes with percentages, rates, and ratios.
Practice abstract and concrete inequalities.
How well do you understand y = mx + b?
Learn the key components of a quadratic equation.
Learn how to handle more unusual function questions.
Learn how to handle the way the SAT asks geometry questions.
It's all about the radii and proportions of circles!
Master SOHCAHTOA!
Learn the core concepts required for probability and statistics.
Be very careful when attempting graph and table questions.
Here's a hodgepodge of things you should know!
Not real number theory, but a lot of abstract mathematical manipulation required.
Set up all those long, wordy problems!
Don't solve these conceptually. Write them out!
