Introduction to Project Management
Fundamentals of Project Management,
Project management is an essential skill-set for many careers and in many contexts in our lives. Introduction to Project Management is an ideal starting point if you need to manage projects at work or at home, while not necessarily being a formally trained project manager. It is also suitable if you are considering undertaking a project in the near future and are seeking to learn and apply essential project management knowledge and skills.
To deliver a project successfully, it’s important to start by clearly identifying what the project is, and what its outcomes will be. In the course, we will show you practical ways to explore and understand your goals from the outset of your project, and to consider all the factors that may affect its execution. Step by step you will learn how to plan, scope, schedule, cost and manage your project from beginning to end. Since every project relies on the people who are delivering it, the course also enables you to explore how you can effectively communicate, manage people and employ leadership skills to successfully deliver your own project.
In Introduction to Project Management, you will learn practical ways to use project management skills, whether your project is large or small. Join us to explore how you can benefit from using project management techniques in your own projects.

This course also doesn't cover the Project Management Lifecycle - something another edX course from RITx covers.
school student but neither
Maybe, it may be enough for a secondary school student but neither for a student at university nor for a professional: the course will not bring them anything new.
subjects were well presented
The subjects were well presented and the instructors very well versed, the interview with an actual PM added value to it.
project management lifecycle
anyone could manage
Nevertheless, anyone could manage to complete it in one afternoon.
choosen randomly because
On the other hand, as many reviewers said, the questions of the tests seem to be choosen randomly because the conection between them and the matter of the course sometimes is faded.
many reviewers said
being 2-3 hours
Being 2-3 hours a week, it's less of an actual course than a crash course workshop on project management.
lectures are rich
Lectures are rich in their fields of study too.
'd say
Lastly, I'd say the content doesn't quite map out to what's being used in the real world - it's all very theoretical.

From where I stand, the cost of this course (49 dollars) may seem cheap.

I'm an engineer and took this course right as I was starting on a large ($5-10 million) project. Although I'm not a PM, I have responsibilities on many lines. This course provided a huge boost in what I understood about project management and how I could manage different work processes more efficiently. It also helped me understand how I fit into the bigger picture. My managers have noted this in my review so I owe the professors a huge thank you.
