Part 2: This lecture will teach you how to use the DJI GO App and it will go over all the basic features, settings and menus.

This lecture will teach you the main FAA guidelines that you have to follow to ensure safety. The FAA guidelines only apply to those flying in the US.

This lecture will be an overview of what you will learn in the course.

This lecture will teach you about all the parts and pieces of your drone. Please note that your drone & controller may look different than the one shown, but the basics will be very similar.

Getting Started

This lecture will teach you how to register yourself as a drone pilot with the FAA. This is a mandatory law, so please register and place your registration number on your drone before flying.

This lecture will teach you how to charge your drone battery & controller.

This lecture will teach you how to turn your drone and controller on!

This lecture will teach you how to update your drone's firmware by going online and downloading the DJI firmware package. You'll learn how to transfer the firmware to your drone.

Before Take-Off

This lecture will teach you the buttons and controls of your controller. You'll learn what each button does and you'll also learn how the control sticks control your drone during flight. Please note that your controller may look a bit different than the one shown, but the basics will all be the same.

This lecture will teach you about your Return-To-Home Feature, and you will learn how it works, when to use it and how to initiate it.

This lecture will teach you how to use the DJI GO App and it will go over all the basic features, settings and menus.

(Updated Sept 2016) This lecture will teach you how to become a commercial drone pilot under FAA Part 107. Before September 2016, you needed to petition for the FAA 333 exemption and you needed a pilot's license.
