A Spanish translator takes written content in Spanish and expresses that content in English. Many different industries rely on Spanish translators, as Spanish is a popular language across the globe, spoken by more than 500 million people across nearly three dozen countries. This course helps build the language skills that a Spanish translator would need to be successful in their work.
Language Arts Teacher
A Language Arts Teacher develops and delivers instructional materials, as well as teaches language and literature courses. The majority of Language Arts Teachers focus on their native language, but there are also second language Language Arts Teachers, especially at private institutions and international schools. Taking this course can certainly help a second language Language Arts Teacher refine their skills.
Immigration Specialist
An Immigration Specialist helps foreign-born people navigate the immigration process, including obtaining visas, green cards, and citizenship. Since Spanish is one of the most common languages spoken by immigrants to the United States, the ability to speak this language would be valuable to an Immigration Specialist.
ESL Teacher
An ESL Teacher supports nonnative speakers of English in learning to communicate in English. Travel Agent
A Travel Agent plans and books travel for individuals and groups. While it is not required to speak every language spoken by one's clients, having the ability to speak or understand Spanish would expand a Travel Agent's client base to include Spanish-speaking individuals. This course can help Travel Agents refine their Spanish into a professional capacity.
Lawyer
Lawyers help people navigate and resolve legal issues. Because many legal cases involve parties from many language backgrounds, lawyers are often required to work with Spanish-speakers. Having a strong command of Spanish may help a lawyer build a successful practice, and this course may be a useful tool to add to your skillset.
Event Planner
An Event Planner coordinates all aspects of an event, from planning the menu to hiring vendors. The ability to speak Spanish could be valuable to an Event Planner, especially in states with large Spanish-speaking communities, as it would expand their client base. Moreover, this course helps refine communication skills, which is important for Event Planners.
Sales Representative
A Sales Representative is responsible for selling products or services to new and existing customers. Having the ability to speak Spanish is useful in this role since it allows Sales Representatives to expand their client base to include Spanish-speakers. This course may be útil.
Customer Service Representative
A Customer Service Representative answers phone calls, emails, and other questions from customers. In the United States, there is a large Spanish-speaking population, so the ability to speak Spanish would allow a CSR to assist a greater client base. Marketing Manager
A Marketing Manager develops and executes marketing campaigns to promote a company's products or services. The ability to speak Spanish is helpful in this role, as it allows Marketing Managers to reach a wider target audience. This course may be a helpful elective.
Financial Analyst
A Financial Analyst researches and evaluates financial information to make sound investment decisions. While this role does not require the ability to speak Spanish, it may be a useful elective as it helps develop analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
Author
An Author translates ideas from their head into written form. Being adept at Spanish is not required, but a course that can help refine your written communication skills can help you emerge as a more well-rounded, cultured, and accessible Author. This course is centered around developing discourse and writing skills, building a foundation for a successful Author career.
Software Engineer
A Software Engineer designs, develops, and maintains software applications. This role does not require the ability to speak Spanish nor does this course build a foundation for entering this field.
