With over 30 years of triathlon experience and knowledge at every level of this sport, AltaBrio’s head coaches have been around the proverbial block. • The Camp Includes…

9 separate sessions, each exploring and unpacking fundamentally critical triathlon topics.

Session #1 is Triathlon Basecamp. In order to get better, it’s important to unlearn (aka acclimatize) many of the habits and accepted belief patterns that are keeping us back. We will take a look at the top asked questions, popular training philosophies, various types of sessions, overall fundamental advice for triathlons, and debunk many of the most popular and debilitating myths. When we say fundamental advice, we do not mean that everyone knows this, which is why we will cover it in this Session. Yes, this is Basecamp, but we want to get you ready to take on much, much more in the coming Sessions.

Session #2 – We dive deep into popular triathlon training topics by discussing the best types of Training Programs and Sessions and how it relates to you as an athlete with your custom needs, training zones, heart rate, and abilities. Again, these are concrete and practical tips you can begin employing right away in each session.

Session #3 builds on the science part of Training by walking through the top hacks and tricks of the pros that yield the greatest results. In this session, we will overcome many of the myths by talking about what works and why it works so you approach each session armed with practical and relatable knowledge.

Session #4 – We get a bit hot and sweaty by running through the key strength, conditioning, and mobility routines that make you the best version of yourself as a triathlete. For example, there are hundreds of individual leg exercises out there, but which 5 exercises are essential for you as a triathlete? I get it, we all are strapped for time. So, we walk you through the lowest hanging fruit.

Sessions #5-7 are dedicated to each of the individual disciplines, starting with the swim. During each of these sessions, we will spend at least 2 hours going through technique, drills, training, and racing best practices to help you have a full and rounded understanding of each sport as it relates to training, tapering, and racing.

Session #8 is our deep dive into nutrition and hydration for training, racing, and recovery. We will look at the latest science of what works, what the pros do, and how you can begin testing your personal plan right away.

Finally, in Session #9, our favorite session, we will walk through every step of a race, starting with developing your personally optimized taper plan as well race day routines, activities, and more tips and hacks from the pros.
