هل اللغة هي عبارة عن حروف أم أصوات ؟ ولماذا تحتوي بعض اللغات على حروف كثيرة بينما لغات أخرى حروفها أقل ؟

أي لغة لا تحتوي على حروف صوتية فهي ليست لغة، كل كلمة في أي لغة يجب أن تحتوي على الأقل على حرف صوتي واحد، اذا الحروف الصوتية هي مفتاح نطق أي كلمة بشكل صحيح.
