Creating Financial Statements in Power BI poses three significant challenges which we will help you solve, using a combination of BI tools.

Challenge 1: How to replicate financial statement layouts and formatting

Challenge 2: How to create account subtotals and other DAX summaries

Challenge 3: How to create the more complex cash flow statement

Create a SQL View containing data from multiple tables

Import the SQL View into Power BI and create a snowflake schema Data Model

Enhance the Data Model with a custom Headers Table to provide the template for building Financial Statements

Create staging DAX measures to populate the line items of the Financial Statement templates

Create a DAX measure that combines the staging DAX measures to populate the body of the Financial Statements

Create three Financial Statements in Excel using Cube Formulas that reference the Data Model
