Free Phytophthora Training Course for Nursery Growers

Certain species of Phytophthora - including sudden oak death, ramorum blight and rhododendron root rot - can devastate agricultural crops, nursery crops and forests, making Phytophthora disease the number one disease of nursery crops nationwide.
Phytophthora: Training for Nursery Growers, developed in partnership with the Oregon Department of Agriculture, provides information on Phytophthora and how to reduce the risk of Phytophthora disease in nurseries.
The course is divided into three modules, with review questions following each module:
Participants can stop and resume this 10-hour course at any time.
Certificate of Mastery
Participants can take an optional online exam to receive a Certificate of Mastery on Phytophthora, which can be done through the Exam Registration Form. Those who pass the exam are eligible to earn CEUs from several different organizations. The list of these organizations can be viewed under the Course Overview section on the right side of this page. Each participant must enter his or her pesticide applicator license number when registering for the exam.
