Polynomial graphs

Algebra II,

In this unit, we will use everything that we know about polynomials in order to analyze their graphical behavior. Specifically, we will find polynomials' zeros (i.e., x-intercepts) and analyze how they behave as the x-values become infinitely positive or infinitely negative (i.e., end-behavior).

This course contains 4 segments:

Zeros of polynomials

Learn how to use the zeros of polynomials to draw a pretty good sketch of their graphs.

Positive and negative intervals of polynomials

End behavior of polynomials

Learn about the end behavior of polynomial functions. End behavior is the way the function behaves as the input values grow infinitely positive or infinitely negative.

Putting it all together

Combine your knowledge about the zeros and the end behavior of a polynomial in order to sketch its graph.
