Graphic Design Bootcamp

Its an interesting and enlightening course but I still hope for more because of the creativity I am experiencing with some of the tools Good session So far I'm learning how to use Photoshop very well!

So far I'm learning a good deal.

So far there is a lot of photography processing concepts, not as much graphic design theory.

So far it is easy to follow Derrick is a great teacher.

I have learned a lot so far.

Derrick has so far made it a gentle start, especially with actually giving an insight to why we are making the selections instead of just hurrying along.

Great course so far, learned alot about photoshop & photoshop shortcuts (which is extremely important!).

really enjoy the course so far It was a excellent course for my, it will really help me as a beginner with my designs.

im a complete beginner and so far am enjoying my experience The episodes which I have seen till now are very easy to learn as they are explaining it quite well I think this course is extremely detailed and informative.

Before when i started this course i really dont know to how to make a logo,banner,etc but this course teach me lot about graphic design I loved everything about this course!!

This is a great course if you're a beginner to the graphic design world.

I am very happy to see that I have learned the basics, so in my opinion, this course is a must for learning graphic design.

really interesting and handy for everyday use with photo editing as well as graphic design study The course is good but lack of understanding using the tools and less option design criteria.

I I feel like this course is very fast paced and unwelcoming he is good I love the amount of things I've learned by crunching the content in this course, I feel now ready and excited to start my own career in graphic design.

He is so clear but also so fast I have no experience of graphic design so having all the terminology explained is very helpful.

I really enjoyed learning with Derrick Mitchell and will be looking forward to learning other designing courses from him.

Anyway, nothing that affects the general quality of the course, i really appreciated it and i'm looking forward to attending some other courses from Derrick!

I am not happy with this course instructor because it's very fast and uncleared explanation less topics to learn from these course i'm able to get any job in graphic designing i really learned alot and had a great tutor, was really cool how the tutor got involved, tutor 5 stars Good course, I never tried to do anything in Photoshop before and with this course, I feel like it's actually easy and I'm looking forward to finish this course Great teacher, giving practical info based on real life work projects, not like so many others along the functions of the software.

I am looking forward to more of the same!!

Going through step by step helps a ton!

I like the brushes and all the things and you do it step by step I expected this course to be more deep in respect of Illustrator and Photoshop learning and especially in overall understanding of graphic design principles and basics.

The more he can go step by step - and continue repeating those steps - the better.

So far, Derrick has been great taking you step by step and explaining with no rush.

The well detailed and step by step discussion makes it easy for noobs like me to follow along.

Good, but wish windows shortcuts were stated more frequently Because I suck at computer stuff but this is so easy to follow...I just follow along on another monitor and pause when I need to so I can get caught up....love the step by step!

The content of the course is structured in a way that as a beginner it’s being explained step by step and I can pause and take the relevant notes that have been supplied by the trainer, cheers and hears to my creative future!!!

Very informative and I like that it shows everything step by step.

I can see that he has an excellent knowledge at this topic, and I highly recommend this course.

The videos are extremely useful and Derrick does a great job of explaining more complex details to beginners like myself.

The instructor is doing a great job of explaining different parts of the process as we go through each video Good pace for beginners, very clear & easy to follow!

The narrator explains the necessary theoretical basics of graphic design such as color modes very well.

I am just two videos down and have already learned some basics like what is resolution ,color modes etc.

He stops and explains things like color modes in language that is clear, concise and activates visual imagery (mentally-- helps me remember things).

Need more info about color modes that when selecting CMYK to create a poster, what does the 'bit' mean?

It's cool to learn things like opening Photoshop, Resolutions and Color modes.

Also some good things that were in the recesses of my mind that attention was brought to and now more forefront which is good I know some of the basics of photoshop already but I really appreciated the breakdown between resolution and particularly the definitions of the color modes.

I think he could refresh the course a bit about the new Photoshop for example, but I managed to google out everything that was not like that in my ps.

For example when he was going through using the brush tool to create a textured background, he somehow was able to change the angle of the brush using what I'm assuming were keyboard shortcuts.

For example, when he's working with a brush in "refine edge" and working around hair.

For example, copy and pasting text but does not show how to just type text and how use color and how to make text visible once you type it.

For example, I did not have the same view as you when we got started even though I hit reset start.

For example, clarity on PPI and DPI; and RGB and CMYK.

This course offers real world exercises and more!

A very nice course where the professor is giving a lot of useful information and resources, tips applicable in the real world.

The teaching is easy to understand and the real world design examples are quite useful.

Real world examples with downloadable files so that the learner can follow along.

It didn't explain enough or give enough real world examples.

The Course use real world lessons, show the student how to design and create projects that customers would want for their business.

Some of the shortcuts listed throughout the course are not applicable and I often find myself googling to figure out how to do things that I should be learning in the course.

There have been a couple of times where very small steps have been missed (like how the layer was selected or how you got out of a tool) that I have to spend time trying to figure out, as I am an absolute beginner.

The only problem I have is Photoshop is now 2017 version and I sometimes have to figure out where certain tools are, but I like the learning process.

Because at times I'm not familiar with the basics, I have to go back and figure out intermediate steps.

What the video is showing does not match what I see on my screen, therefore I can't do the course to my full potential and I am wasting time trying to figure out what I need to fix.

I use a PC and the instructor uses a MAC so most things you can figure out, but some times it looks different.

Great Design Bootcamp and for me also an update on the newest Creative Cloud options.

I have learned many valuable skills for both Photoshop and Illustrator and have learned ways to improve my workflow in both programs with new shortcuts, benefits I didn't know I had from Creative Cloud, and tools I didn't know existed.

So far it's not a bad course but for me it's a bit slow since I already have a little experience working in the Creative Cloud So far it is very clear and easy to understand.

Yes except I have photoshop and illustrator already so haven't seen the point of adobe creative cloud as of yet.

I like the fact that he gives "How Too's" rather than theory or useless technical details.

It seems that you are conversing with an an intermediate level student rather than teaching a beginner.

He does a great job touching on the basics and ensuring terms are understood rather than just moving on.
