Wireless networks are a fundamental component of enterprise networks. This course will introduce 802.11 radio frequency basics, deployment principles, and configuration of a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller.

Wireless networks are a required component of every enterprise network. Mobile devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones have created a demand for wireless coverage in buildings. Additionally, devices specific to healthcare, manufacturing, education, retail also required reliable wireless connectivity to operate properly.

In this course, Cisco Wireless Basic Operation and Configuration, you will learn the fundamentals of 802.11 Wireless Deployments. First, you will examine the fundamentals of wireless including 802.11 protocols and the radio frequencies used to deliver the wireless ethernet network. Next, since anyone with a wireless adapter can listen to the information transferred on a wireless network, you will discover the encryption technologies available to secure wireless conversations including WEP, WPA, WPA2, and WPA3. Then, you will learn about the infrastructure required to deliver a Cisco Wireless Network, including understanding autonomous access points, and lightweight access points with a wireless lan controller. Finally, you will explore how to deploy a Cisco Wireless Network using a Cisco 2504 Wireless LAN Controller. By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of Cisco Wireless operation and configuration.

All of the topics covered are part of the exam objectives required to earn the Cisco CCNA certification.
