I do think it is not enough to pass the 70-461 exam on its own, but the instructor was fantastic, easy to understand and talked at a perfect pace.

The lecture is good, well structured and very easy to understand for beginners.

A really amazing course, it doesn't matter if you are an expert on SQL server or if it is the first time you use it (like me), the way is explained is easy to understand but never getting to be so easy that's boring.

Work the examples and read SQL Books Online!

It does not cover the advance but you can easily learn this by rading books online.

However, if you're trying to use this course as actual exam prep, you'd probably be better suited just looking up the objectives and reading about them in SQL Books online, as is suggested many times throughout this course.

There was a lot of "go look at Books Online".

While the content is valuable, don't expect anyone to answer your questions (except for a fellow student) since Infinite Skills is now part of Safari Books Online (www.safaribooksonline.com).

However, in order to really pass the exam, you will need follow the instructors recommendation of practicing and reading more on the topics on books online.

The course covers the topics in great depth, and mentions features of SQL Server Management Studio which even I hadn't acknowledged before.

I would like to see more performance and syntax tips, maybe a section on Management Studio.

Constantly wastes lesson time referring back to how to open management studio after you're more than halfway through the course.

Constantly referring to massive PDF documents that are available for free in SQL management studio anyway.

There are some good tips on how to use the MSS Management Studio that I did not know and are good productivity tips.

However, the course is way too basic for the 70-461 exam and the instructor often points out that a real exam preparation course would need to take somewhat about 3 weeks.. Why not to create a longer one then to help students get a better understanding of SQL Server?

The tutor himself says (too) often that you should google the subject yourself for better understanding... (so why did I enrolled and pay for the course?).

People with minimal experience who are after passing this exam will need to use the 70-461 Microsoft Training Kit in conjunction with exam prep material, with courses like these, to give themselves the best chance at passing this tough exam and it is tough!

This will make the Microsoft 70-461 Training Kit less dry and more digestible.

Muy claro el curso, sería bueno que tuviera ejercicios Good review for Certification test it was ok. and the topics were not covered in depth Good explanation with examples This course was a welcome companion to the official Training Kit which is extremely dry and hard to follow in places.

If the exam is not much more complicated than what Mark Long makes it appear over here, I'll be fine.

I have enjoyed Mark Long's videos in the past and I am looking forward to completing this class.

Pro -He explains in a very simple and eficient way Cons - The need of a subtitle =) Mark Long is the best, he makes understanding easy!!!!

I also feel that Mark has real world experience with databases, and isn't just reading to me from a textbook.

I have learnt so much and feeling confident in using this in the real world.
