Disciplines such as operative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, periodontology, oral implantology, and oral surgery use radiographic imaging modalities daily to achieve accurate diagnoses and as a basis for treatment planning, as well as for follow-up and monitoring of outcomes.
