En la actualidad la agenda de sostenibilidad es clave para las empresas, gobiernos y ciudadanía. Es vital que las personas conozcan de primera mano los conceptos básicos para comprender todo lo que está sucediendo alrededor de la sostenibilidad, como vector de cambio sistémico en la economía, la sociedad, las empresas y nuestras vidas.

Este curso es una introducción a la sostenibilidad vista como una disciplina transversal en nuestra sociedad (en el ámbito público y privado internacional) basado en la información pública más actualizada a la fecha en temas económicos, sociales y ambientales. A lo largo del mismo, se describe cómo la sostenibilidad es aplicable de manera holística a situaciones diarias en la población, uso de recursos naturales, su aplicación en la economía mundial y su interacción con la biosfera, pasando por aspectos sociales como la transición justa, equidad, igualdad, diversidad, derechos humanos, educación y salud.

Al final de este curso, obtendrás una visión general y muy amplia de los desafíos claves y las posibles soluciones para lograr el desarrollo sostenible, socialmente justo y ambientalmente posible respetando los límites planetarios.

Definición, contexto global y marcos internacionales de sostenibilidad

En este módulo se introducen las definiciones de sostenibilidad en un contexto global de cambio permanente que afecta a la generación actual y las futuras. Además, se muestran los marcos de referencia internacionales en sostenibilidad.

Actores del cambio, medioambiente y cambio climático

Los grupos de interés son clave en la sostenibilidad de las organizaciones. A lo largo de este módulo comprenderemos el rol de cada uno de ellos y las expectativas propias para crear valor económico, social y medioambiental a corto, medio y largo plazo. Además, profundizaremos en conceptos y definiciones del primer pilar de la sostenibilidad: “Medioambiente”.

Crecimiento económico inclusivo, sostenibilidad y finanzas sostenibles

En este módulo, conoceremos algunos conceptos relacionados con los otros dos pilares de la sostenibilidad: “Económico” y “Social”. Se profundizará en el concepto de crecimiento inclusivo y poblacional en el marco de unos recursos limitados. De manera transversal, se tratarán temas de derechos humanos, igualdad de género y la relación entre los ODS socioeconómicos para el desarrollo sostenible.

Medición y reporte de sostenibilidad

En este módulo final, examinaremos las herramientas disponibles para medir y reportar la sostenibilidad. Además, haremos un resumen de los módulos anteriores para poner en común algunas conclusiones y una visión de la sostenibilidad global para las próximas décadas del siglo XXI sobre tendencias.
