Full Stack Minibian
UPDATE: 15 March 2018
I have published an new version of this course that uses Raspbian Lite, Python 3, and newer versions of all software and hardware components.
The name of the new course is Tech Explorations™ Raspberry Pi Full Stack Raspbian
Please consider enrolling to the new course, unless you have a specific reason to enrol to the old course
The objective of this course is to take you to a whirlwind tour of the Raspberry Pi, and introduce you to everything that is great about it.
Structured as a project, you will become familiar with the various components that make up the web development stack: the operating system, the hardware (including the GPIOs), the application server, web server, database server, and the Python programming language.
You will also become familiar with Cloud services that you will integrate into your Raspberry Pi-powered web application.
You application will take sensor data and make them available to the user via a web interface that is constructed based on jQuery and HTML5.
You will need a Raspberry Pi, a DHT22 sensor, a button, an LED, a few resistors and a breadboard. If you wish to setup wireless networking on your Raspberry Pi, you will also need a USB Wifi dongle.
To make the most from this course, you should be familiar with basic programming and be comfortable with the command line.

raspberry pi
great courses.
It gives me a lot of useful knowledge and fun in the process of learning and research.Hopefully the next time you will continue to add courses useful and the Arduino and raspberry pi.

I would like to see a second part with other kinds of hardware projects using Raspberry Pi.
I suggest an update to the course due to incompatible methods on raspberry pi 3.
Very extensive and informative about the Raspberry Pi capacities and Open Source Software.
In fact, if anyone attempts to install upstart their OS will crash and you will need to re-install the OS on the RPi If you are looking for a good course on getting your Raspberry PI to talk to external devices on the accessory bus and present the date on a web page, this is a great course to take.

setting up
Coming from the hardware side, I had a big learning curve on setting up the whole web stack including web and application servers as well as databases.
Would love to see a sequel of this at a more advanced level- perhaps with projects on setting up a home camera, hosting sites on RPi, doing audio/video processing etc.
This is the whole package--guidance on setting up and deploying a Raspberry Pi as a data logger and web server for that data.
The course includes setting up the software components as well as the programming needed to collect the data, store it in a database, and present it in various ways on a web page.
