EtherChannel is a Cisco proprietary technology that allows multiple physical Ethernet links to be bundled together to create one logical link. This can be useful for increasing bandwidth, providing redundancy, and load balancing. EtherChannels are typically used to connect switches or routers to each other, but can also be used to connect servers to switches.
