Participatory research is an approach to research that involves the active participation of individuals, groups, and communities in the research process. This approach emphasizes the importance of collaboration, empowerment, and shared ownership of knowledge, with the aim of addressing complex issues and creating positive social change.

What is Participatory Research?

Participatory research is distinct from traditional research approaches in its emphasis on the involvement of stakeholders throughout the research process, from the identification of research questions to the dissemination of findings. It seeks to bridge the gap between researchers and communities, recognizing that those most affected by research should play a central role in shaping and conducting it.
