Soil testing is the analysis of soil to determine its physical and chemical properties. Soil testing is used to assess soil fertility, soil health, and soil contamination. Soil testing is also used to make recommendations for soil management practices.

Soil Fertility

Soil fertility is the ability of soil to provide nutrients for plants. Soil fertility is determined by the amount of organic matter, nutrients, and minerals in the soil. Soil testing can be used to determine the levels of nutrients and minerals in the soil and to make recommendations for fertilizer applications.

Soil Health

Soil health is the ability of soil to function as a healthy ecosystem. Soil health is determined by the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil. Soil testing can be used to assess soil health and to make recommendations for soil management practices that improve soil health.
