Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) is a framework for understanding how teachers develop knowledge about teaching and learning. It is a specialized type of knowledge that teachers need to effectively teach their subject matter to students. PCK is different from general pedagogical knowledge, which is knowledge about teaching and learning in general, and from subject matter knowledge, which is knowledge about a particular subject area. PCK is a combination of these two types of knowledge, and it helps teachers to understand how to teach their subject matter in a way that is effective for students.
What is Pedagogical Content Knowledge?

- The nature of the subject matter
- How students learn the subject matter
