What is AppArmor?
AppArmor is an open-source, Linux-based security tool that enables administrators to define and enforce security policies for applications and services running on a system. By restricting what applications can access, AppArmor helps protect systems from malicious attacks and data breaches. Unlike traditional access control mechanisms, such as file permissions and SELinux, which focus on controlling access to files and resources, AppArmor takes a more holistic approach, controlling all aspects of an application's behavior, including network access, file access, and process execution.
