Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) Attacks are a type of cyberattack in which an attacker intercepts communications between two parties and impersonates one of them to gain access to sensitive information or control over the communication channel. MitM attacks can be performed on a variety of networks, including wired and wireless networks, and can be used to steal passwords, account credentials, and other sensitive data. MitM attacks can be devastating for businesses and individuals alike, and can lead to financial loss, identity theft, and other serious consequences.

Understanding Man-in-the-Middle Attacks

MitM attacks work by intercepting the communications between two parties and impersonating one of them. This can be done by using a variety of techniques, such as ARP poisoning, DNS spoofing, and SSL hijacking. Once the attacker has intercepted the communications, they can read, modify, or block the traffic, and can impersonate either party to gain access to sensitive information or control over the communication channel.
