Search Engines

May 1, 2024 4 minute read

Search engines are powerful tools that allow us to find information on the internet. They work by crawling the web and indexing the content of websites. When we search for something, the search engine returns a list of websites that are relevant to our query.

How Search Engines Work

Search engines use a variety of algorithms to determine which websites are most relevant to a particular query. These algorithms take into account factors such as the content of the website, the popularity of the website, and the user's location.

When you enter a query into a search engine, the search engine will first check its index to see if it has any results for that query. If it does, it will return the most relevant results to you. If it doesn't, it will crawl the web to find more results.
