Clean energy, also known as renewable energy, refers to energy that is generated from natural sources, such as the sun, wind, water, or heat from the earth. Unlike fossil fuels, clean energy sources are not finite and do not produce harmful emissions that contribute to climate change.

Sources of Clean Energy

There are many different sources of clean energy, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Some of the most common sources of clean energy include:

  • Solar energy is generated from the sun's rays. Solar panels can be used to convert sunlight into electricity, which can then be used to power homes, businesses, and other facilities.
  • Wind energy is generated from the wind. Wind turbines can be used to convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electricity.
  • Hydropower is generated from the movement of water. Dams can be used to create reservoirs of water, which can then be released to generate electricity as it flows through turbines.
  • Geothermal energy is generated from the heat of the earth's core. Geothermal power plants can be used to convert this heat into electricity.
  • Biomass energy is generated from organic matter, such as wood, plants, and animal waste. Biomass power plants can be used to convert this organic matter into electricity.
