Technology, often abbreviated as tech, is the collection of techniques, skills, methods, and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific research. Technology can be the knowledge of techniques, processes, and skills in general, as opposed to science, although many technologies rely on the findings of science, and scientific knowledge can be applied in the development of new technology.
Types of Technology
Technology can be classified into two main types: physical and non-physical. Physical technology consists of tangible objects, such as machines, tools, buildings, and infrastructure. Non-physical technology, on the other hand, is intangible, and includes things like knowledge, information, ideas, and processes.
Importance of Technology
Technology is essential for the progress and development of human society. It has enabled us to achieve great things, from building the pyramids to sending humans to the moon. Technology has also improved our quality of life in countless ways, from providing us with clean water and food to connecting us with people all over the world. Without technology, our world would be a very different place.
