Micro-segmentation is a network security technique that divides a network into smaller, isolated segments. This helps to contain the spread of malware and other security threats by preventing them from moving between segments. Micro-segmentation can be implemented using a variety of technologies, including firewalls, virtual LANs (VLANs), and software-defined networking (SDN).
