Multinational corporations, also known as multinational enterprises (MNEs), are corporations that have business operations in multiple countries. They are a global force, and their activities have a significant impact on the world economy, and on the lives of people in both developed and developing countries.
What is a Multinational Corporation?
A multinational corporation (MNC) is a company that has its headquarters in one country, but also has operations in other countries. MNCs can be found in all industries, from manufacturing to retail to services, and have a significant impact on the global economy, accounting for a large share of global trade and investment.
There are many reasons why companies become multinational. Some companies start out as small businesses in one country but then expand their operations to other countries in order to increase their market share or to find new sources of raw materials or labor. Other companies are founded as multinational corporations from the outset, with the intention of operating in multiple countries from the very beginning.
