Server Core is a minimal installation option for Windows Server 2016 and later versions. It includes only the core components of the operating system, such as the kernel, drivers, and networking stack. Server Core does not include a graphical user interface (GUI), so it must be managed remotely using either the Windows PowerShell command line or the Server Manager GUI on another computer.
