Robert Muggah is a speaker, writer and social entrepreneur on issues of security, cities, climate adaptation and new technologies. He is co-founder of the Igarapé Institute – an award-winning think and do tank working on data-driven safety and justice. He is also co-founder of the SecDev Group - devoted to disrupting digital risk and strengthening cyber security. Robert has worked in over 50 countries with the UN, World Bank, governments, cities and businessess. The author of eight books - including Terra Incognita (out in 2020), he is a regular contributor to the Atlantic, BBC, CNN, Financial Times, Guardian, New York Times, and Wired and gave TED talks in 2014, 2017 and 2019.
