cloud guru

Thanks Acloud Guru for playing a large part in this!

This is so confusing and not exactly conducive to learning the subject matter Mock test doesnt match the course content it needs to be improved , its shocking that I got 55% in mock lost all the hope to take up actual exam but after exploring cloud guru forum understood many suffered the same , more information on DynamoDB , SQS , Route53 & DNS will help.

I used the combination of the A Cloud Guru course (going through it twice) and the TD practice-test course, and scored a 909/1000 a couple of days ago.

Thank you A Cloud Guru!

In preparing for the exam I have purchased a series of practice exams - and I would estimate that the A Cloud Guru course contains about 30-40% of the information that is covered in the exam.

For sure I will be great cloud guru soon.

I would recommend you sign up for a Cloud Guru subscription and do all the deep dives into the Associate Architect topics.

will be able to pass AWS exam after viewing this course, but roughly half of the terms and topics in the very last 2 practice exams are not covered in the course at all, and explanations in these practice exams are more confusing than explaining, they look like "a cloud guru" inventions/opinions rather than knowledge.

I intend to take more Cloud Guru courses.

Other than that, the A Cloud Guru videos and labs are great !

Will try to follow your footsteps and become a cloud guru!

Thanks Cloud Guru ?

Good work Cloud Guru.

Instead If cloud guru can include more on API Gateway would be more helpful.

certified solutions architect associate

Easy to follow along and understand, and was 100 percent the reason I was able to pass my AWS certified solutions architect associate exam.

I recommend everyone to purchase (as I did) the practice exam from Jon Bonso: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Practice Exams https://www.udemy.com/course/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-amazon-practice-exams/ Although those test I would say are about 10% to 20% harder than the actual AWS exam I took, they do cover EVERYTHING and give such indepth description of correct and incorrect answers that I think they are the perfect complement to this course.

Majority of explanations are super helpful Excellent source for preparing AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification Exam.

This one is a amazing course and covers the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate topics to a very good extend!

I'm not sure about credibility of this course.. One month ago, I could barely spell AWS, and yesterday I passed the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate exam on my first attempt with a score of 881.

I was able to earn my AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification by just following this course.

Good introduction Hey Ryan, I successfully cleared the Certified Solutions Architect Associate exam 4/13/19 on my first try thanks to help from this course!!!

Took the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Exam and passed it on the first time with 94 % one week ago.

I have cleared the exam thanks to this course along with AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Practice Exams and the whitepapers.

Achieved my AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification yesterday with this course.

Explained all you need in order to pass the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate level.

This will be the best online tutorial u can search for AWS certified solutions Architect Associate.

After completing this course, I was able to pass the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate exam.

Tips for Ryan: - lessons with Polly and Alexa can be ditched as they are not required - add more quizzes as the course progress - more realistic scenarios and naming of resources - improve your command line skills :) - provide the course slides for the students who completed the course for a quick recap I think this is the best udemy course on AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.

step by step

Step by Step introduction to AWS features and deep dive.

Easy , step by step .

i can apply what am learning step by step during the course!

Well layed out course, with lots of step by step information!!

I need some detailed step by step tutorials.

He has simplified the concepts with a clear step by step guide in the Lab sessions.

Clear and step by step introduction... spectacular!

everything goes step by step.

Scores: Content: 4.5/5 Explanation: 5/5 Timings: 4.5/5 Practical: 5/5 Language and Accent: 4/5 Applications to the Real Use Cases: 5/5 Use of Diagrams/Visuals: 5/5 Course: 4.5/5 Once followed step by step and completed, this will definitely make your clear the AWS Certification if you are planning for it.

Concepts were well explained and followed up with step by step labs.

I knew very little about AWS before the exam, but Ryan brought me up to speed quickly with step by step labs and valuable quizzes along the way.

Absolutely brilliant clear explanations and step by step procedures.

Ryan covers information about AWS topics, specific exam questions, real time applications, examples, step by step labs and he even updates the lectures with additional lectures based on student feedback.

Step by step instructions with a knowledgeable teacher.

route 53

I did get few Route 53 questions.

Really well organized and explained I have been using all of these services except for Route 53 for the last 5 years but never had a detail explanation like this some of the video content blurry at the beginning This goes into really basic detail and takes a long time to get to the point of topics.

I liked the Route 53 section a lot.

Topics I got in the exam: high AZ architecture, Cloud HSM, Cloudfront, Lambda, Lambda@Edge, Elastic Beanstalk, ALB, data migration, storage gateway, security groups and KMS, VPC (not so much), Route 53, S3 (quite a bit and make sure you know the difference between different types of reserved, spot, on-demand types), serverless architecture, EBS, EFS, Cloudtrail, Cloudwatch and SQS.

What I really admire about the instructor is he takes all the effort to show a walk though of the services which I cannot practically do using the free account - Snowball, Route 53 etc., and advance features such as Lambda, Alexa and Polly.

Ryan also says he didn't get any questions from Route 53.

Also needs more on Route 53 / ELBs.

Ensure you are hands on with IAM, VPC, EC2, EBS, Route 53, S3, may be EMR too.

For the labs where I had to register for Route 53 domain (helplearnpolly) lab Ryan mentioned that its not a requirement to register for domain, s3 url can be used instead ?

One thing I would improve is Route 53 lecture: slides are mostly text and hard to comprehend, it would help to show diagram that brings all different DNS Types into perspective.

Things that I did not expect and got confused about were route 53 scenarios (about 3 ques) and encryption methods (about 3 ques).

Once you've taught DNS 101, then proceed to Route 53, which is AWS's version of DNS.

If there's a problem, it may be that Amazon needs certs focused on different subgroups, for example EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, and Load Balancing would be good for someone concentrating on using AWS primarily for Web Hosting.

More details on area like Route 53, DNS, EFS I think the quiz can be more extensive.

real life scenarios

Great contents and lab exercises were presented to make things easy for a beginner; not just for the certification but also for real life scenarios.

Covers all topics with sufficient details and exam tips Surprised at the amount of detail and "exam point of view" vs "real life scenarios" covered in the entire course!!

It will be great if you can include some real life scenarios that we can practice covering each topic from beginner level to expert level.

Very interestingly organised lectures with realtime, real life scenarios!

Very detailed explanation of each and every topic, what it is and how it can be used with a real life scenarios.

Recommend to have hands-on assignments with real life scenarios for better understanding.

Many examples are provided of how the concepts are implemented in real life scenarios.

That's a great course in terms of real life scenarios, best practices and overview of the innovative approaches in IT!

The course is very informative not only from the perspective of the exam but also with real life scenarios and Ryan 's explanation is very simplified Rout53 MX record isnt explained in video.

A very clear concept explanation using practical approach and connecting it with the real life scenarios during explanation.

I would suggest the 10,000 feet video to be more broader and keep some more examples from real life scenarios.

It's not simple to prepare such a consolidated topics in nut shell and to linked the real life scenarios with AWS concepts.

It has applicable advice for how you would use AWS in real life scenarios.

amazon web services

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand the fundamentals of Amazon Web Services, and be able to spin up services in the cloud.

AWSome course and a great quick lecture on Amazon Web Services for new comers.

Appreciate Regards, Amit kumar The cloudguru course prepared me well in passing the 'Associate 2018' exam and gave a fantastic in-depth tutorial on how Amazon Web Services works.

Not only I understand the Amazon Web Services, also I had learnt how to be successful in taking them in my future period of time.

Ryan Kroonenburg Has Great experience about Amazon Web Services.

I used it in conjunction with the book "Amazon Web Services in Action" and passed the first time w/ 80%.

I highly recommend this course to anyone who is thinking about just know a little bit of Amazon Web services.

I am now a Amazon Web Services: Certified Solutions Architect - Associate thank you Ryan.

This Course actually helps you understand the most of the Amazon web Services.

I learned in and out about Amazon Web Services by your videos and I got a confidence to complete AWS CSA exam.

I am new to AWS and I am pretty fascinated to see the vastness of amazon web services.

Clear and crisp lecture, easy to undetstand This course was very informational on learn how to use Amazon Web services.

load balancer

I have extensive experience in architecture, implementation, load balancers, networking so Im not coming to this with no experience - however I struggle with all of the Amazon service names and specific configurations (ie: What are the error queues in Lambda, or specific billing situations, or memorizing all sorts of specific facts about each Amazon service) - the majority of which are NOT covered by this course.

For example - for Application Load balancer- why would need to use Target groups ....what will happened if we dont have target groups .

But there should be more content on load balancer.

For load balancer I had to look for other resources.

Load balancers details are required, their attributes are asked in exam in much detail.

Use of load balancers for high availability vs.

Load balancers cannot be used for failover to another region.

Could use more info about scaling logic and the load balancers, especially the app load balancer.

Finally, if you don't want students to pay up for services, tell them explicitly what to do - which specific S3 private link should be used to emulate a load balancer, for example.

So far, only a single section on load balancers has had significant differences in the course material vs the AWS platform, but the forum had the answers.

till now its good and easily understandable Ryan's content definitely needs an upgrade when it comes to Load balancers, VPC and Databases.

Network load balancer is not included.

Example: - On Load Balancers, the author mentions Application Load Balancers (ALB) are new and will probably not be covered in the exam and then covers Classic Load Balancers.

Now there is also Network Load Balancers, which is actually fairly new.

short period of time

Thanks for the course with great summary of topics covered, so that I can understand in a short period of time, and I have done the exam with 1-take pass The course includes Video Lab but does not include PDF documents to do these LAB instructions by yourself.

It is a vast course that covers a lot of subject matter in a short period of time, and mostly does so effectively.

AWSome All videos are well explained in a short period of time, which helps me to maintain the attention.

This course helped me pass the CSA - Associate the very first time I took it after using AWS for a very short period of time.

I've learned so much in such a short period of time.

This enabled me to go from zero to certified in a short period of time.

api gateway

I a LOT of API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB and Redshift questions.

A little thing that can be improved, I had a lot of questions about API Gateway, your should maybe add more details about it.

API Gateway, SNS etc !!!

The only suggestion would be may adding some detailed lecture API gateways which came up a lot in exams.

There were also a bunch of (10+) questions about API Gateway, which was a topic I didn't learn about in depth in my studies.

But you need to have some Linux/Sysops experience to understand and quickly followup all these things and I guess it could be hard for the novices to completely understand some complex labs, as wordpress and API gateway.

Needs more coverage of API Gateway and STS.

Few questions on API Gateway and ECS were asked.

The one that ties together Lambda and API Gateway and Dynamo and even Alexa was especially fun.

Lambda, API Gateway, Alexa, are out of date, and the course examples do not work as demonstrated.

knew nothing about aws

The lecturer's personal experiences within the advice really facilitates my decision process towards what I want and how to best achieve Its more interesting good explanation Good material for introduce into AWS services Easy to understand lecturers Communication is very clear I knew nothing about AWS as well as two others.. L'instructeur utilise un bon ton et rythme.

When I bought this course I knew nothing about AWS cloud and learning new technology from scratch is not an easy thing but head off your effort which make it very simple to understand.

When I enrolled in this course, I knew nothing about AWS or cloud computing.

Success so far :-) The course material no longer reflects the current state of AWS budgeting Simple explanation and good hands on instructions for the lab One of my favorite sites Before purchasing Ryan's courses I knew nothing about AWS.

by jon bonso

Having said that, I did combine this with the practice exams course by Jon Bonso.

Before this course i also did Stephane class here on Udemy and also the practice tests by Jon Bonso It's just fine.

My only sources of information were this course and the practice tests by Jon Bonso here on udemy too, that was pretty much enough to get me test ready.

Instructions are clear and motivational I've passed the exam after taking the AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate online course by ACloudGuru, and finished all the 6 practice tests by Jon Bonso.

lol I went through the labs, exam questions and also bought the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Practice Exams by Jon Bonso and that helped a little but that CLEARLY wasn't enough.

In addition to this course, I also subscribed to the practice tests -course here on Udemy by Ryan Kroonenburg and another by Jon Bonso.

official study guide

I also have a copy of the official study guide, published in 2017 that I reference as well.

I passed exam reading FAQ and Whitepapers like Mr. Kroonenburg suggested, and beside that I used this book "AWS Certified Solutions Architect Official Study Guide: Associate Exam" and "passed Practice Exam" Mr. Kroonenburg is great instructor.

I passed the Solutions Architect Associate exam with the use of this course and the official study guide.

The official study guide covered much of the material missing from this course, so I recommend it as a supplement.

I took the Final exam twice and the scores are 42% and 53% 2) Supplemented this course with AWS Official Study guide.

I found the Official Study Guide had quite a bit more detail and explanation with more diagrams.

I started learning/exploring with qwiklabs, then the official study guide, and finally this course.
