So far so good well.. is super nice that the teacher goes thru each little button to explain how it works, with nice sense of humor and very clear voice.

This seems to be about the right level for me So far so good, learning stuff already I want to learn Affinity to replace it for Photoshop Because so much info.

So far so good,these tutorials give a better reason for the context as to when you need to use the tools I particularly like the individual elements, tackling normal editing techniques, one at a time, it enable one to easily backtrack and revise the video again and again.

A course like this can't cover everything about a very complex program like Affinity, but it never claims to do that in the first place, but it gives you a solid foundation as a launching point to explore it further.

yes, this course is great, simon is great at explaining things, thanks simon This was a really good course that fits the description - gave a solid foundation in all the tools, with solid lessons on basic techniques of photo editing.

Excellent teacher, great pace, getting a solid foundation.

A reluctant believer in full mark awards as it leaves no room for rewarding future improvement so my 41/2 star would represent my maximum Simon's way of teaching, and his humor, fit me very well, so I went for Affinity Designer Solid Foundation as well, so good was it... A great learning experience from a very knowledgeable professional.

Since I don’t have any experience with Photoshop It really gives you a solid foundation on multiple aspects.

I have done nearly all the Affinity courses with Simon F. Hig Overall The course achieves its aim of laying down a “solid foundation” for using Affinity.

Having now completed the course I can say that it really is a solid foundation to Affinity Photo.

It has given me a rock solid foundation in mastering the Affinity software.

The course tutor is very knowledgeable and whilst it feels like he could delve very deep into the individual topics, he wisely chooses to provide a course with the widest possible syllabus whilst giving enough depth that will allow users to take what they have learned and use this course as a solid foundation.

This course not only gives you a solid foundation in Affinity Photo, but also helps you understand the "why" when it comes to photo editing.

Looking forward to watching after I complete this course.

Affinity now replaces the other one and looking forward to Serif's DAM next year (?)

Step by step Since I have used photoshop for years most of it was basic but I did learn a couple or things.

WITH OUT PUTTING THEESE TUTORIALS INTO PRATICE I'M STILL LEANING ALL THE TIME Thanks for the easy step by step lessons I have now decided to watch the whole video before putting anything into pratice yes Well done Simon, a very explanatory course without blinding us with to much science.I would certainly recommend this course to anyone.Thank you very much, John Easy and enjoyable way to learn the ins and outs of Affinity.

The format allows you to replay so you can take step by step notes when learning.

The beauty of it is to be able to go back & go through it step by step.

Affinity can be fairly involved, so a step by step tutorial makes the program a lot more approachable!

I would prefer having step by step instructions as where to click and what tools to use for each task.

Compared to the Affinity videos this is so step by step and personal.

Simon knows his stuff (about Affinity) and he's thorough-- yet he has the knack for not talking "over my head" Good course for beginning and learning Affinity Photo.

An excellent, thorough course suitable for beginners to Affinity and to photo processing in general, at an appropriate pace, with an instructor who clearly knows his stuff and has a very likeable way of getting it across.

Simon obviously knows his stuff and I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants a solid and fun way into using Affinity Photo.

Good lecturer, obviously knows his stuff and also knows the mistakes that everyone makes.

This course is excellent, Learning layer masks and how to use the correctly.

There are some parts which are more difficult eg selections and layer masks, but these can be revisited as required.

Layer masks are still a little confusing, but practice, practice, practice!

Could have gone over selection methods and layer masks in a slower pace to get them embedded into our minds better.

I am still going to have to do a lot of practice to get the hang of layer masks but I'm hopeful this will become easier with time.

The way this has been explained so far is easily understood for a total newbie at photo editing As an experienced photographer, I can highly recommend this for any beginners wanting to understand the basics through to the slightly more advanced techniques used in editing photography.

A little to "wordy" but does get the info over I am an editing novice, and this course breaks down the intimidation of Affinity into bite size pieces that are easily understood.
