Privacy Specialists are integral to any organization dealing with Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and other forms of sensitive data. Privacy Specialists contribute to the implementation of and compliance with privacy and data protection policies and legislation. These professionals are responsible for assessing and mitigating privacy risks and for ensuring the protection of PII. Privacy protection acts as a cornerstone for modern online services and is always evolving as technology develops. Privacy Specialists will continue to be in demand as organizations grapple with growing privacy and data protection regulations such as the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
