Computed Tomography Technologist

Computed Tomography Technologists, also known as CT Technologists, are medical imaging professionals who specialize in using computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of the body. These images are used to diagnose and monitor a wide range of medical conditions, including cancer, heart disease, and trauma.

Education and Training

To become a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will typically need to complete an associate degree or certificate program in Radiologic Technology. Some programs may also offer a bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences.

Skills and Knowledge

Computed Tomography Technologists must have a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology, as well as the principles of radiation physics. They must also be proficient in operating CT scanners and other medical imaging equipment. In addition, CT Technologists must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be interacting with patients and other healthcare professionals on a daily basis.
