Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Managers work to create and maintain diverse and inclusive workplaces. They develop and implement programs and policies that promote equity and inclusion for all employees. D&I Managers may also work to educate employees on diversity and inclusion issues, and to create a culture of respect and belonging in the workplace.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The day-to-day responsibilities of a D&I Manager may include:

  • Working with other departments to ensure that diversity and inclusion are considered in all aspects of the organization
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion programs

Career Path

Many D&I Managers have a background in human resources, social work, or a related field. They may also have experience working in diversity and inclusion initiatives in their previous roles. Some D&I Managers may have a master's degree in diversity and inclusion management or a related field.

To become a D&I Manager, it is important to have a strong understanding of diversity and inclusion issues. This can be gained through experience, education, or a combination of both. It is also important to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds.
