Community development directors are responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community development programs and initiatives. They work with community leaders, residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to identify and address the needs of the community and work to improve the quality of life for all residents.

Education and Experience

Community development directors typically have a bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, or a related field. They also typically have several years of experience working in community development, either in the public or private sector. Some community development directors also have a master's degree in urban planning or public administration.
