Outcomes Researchers play a critical role in healthcare by evaluating the effectiveness of healthcare interventions and programs. Outcomes Researchers use their findings to improve healthcare quality and patient care. Most Outcomes Researchers have a background in research methods, statistics, and epidemiology.
Education and Training
Outcomes Researchers typically have a master's or doctorate degree in public health, health services research, or a related field. Some Outcomes Researchers also have a background in medicine, nursing, or other clinical fields. The Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education accredits bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs in health services administration.
