Geothermal Technicians perform tasks such as installing, operating, and maintaining geothermal heating and cooling systems, as well as troubleshooting and repairing these systems. Geothermal systems use heat from the Earth's core to warm buildings in the winter and cool them in the summer. Geothermal Technicians typically specialize in either residential or commercial systems, and they may work for companies that install and maintain these systems or for companies that own and operate geothermal systems.
Job Description
Geothermal Technicians typically perform the following tasks:
- Install, operate, and maintain geothermal heating and cooling systems
- Troubleshoot and repair geothermal systems
- Inspect geothermal systems for safety and performance
- Develop and implement maintenance plans for geothermal systems
- Train customers on how to operate and maintain geothermal systems

Education and Training
