Electric Vehicle Fleet Manager
An Electric Vehicle Fleet Manager is responsible for the planning, acquisition, maintenance, and operation of an organization's fleet of electric vehicles (EVs). The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the organization's EV fleet meets the organization's needs in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly manner.
Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities of an Electric Vehicle Fleet Manager include:
- Analyzing the organization's vehicle needs and developing a plan for the acquisition of EVs;
- Negotiating with EV manufacturers and dealers to secure the best possible terms for the purchase or lease of EVs;
- Managing the maintenance and repair of EVs, including scheduling services and repairs and keeping track of maintenance records;
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the operation of EVs, including training drivers on the safe and efficient operation of EVs;
- Tracking and monitoring the performance of EVs, including fuel consumption, emissions, and maintenance costs;
- Reporting on the performance of the EV fleet to senior management.
Electric Vehicle Fleet Managers must have a strong understanding of electric vehicle technology, as well as experience in fleet management. They must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be interacting with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management, drivers, and vendors.
