As an Assistente Sociale, you will be responsible for providing assistance to individuals and families in need of support, providing counseling and guidance on a variety of issues, including mental health, addiction, and poverty. You may also be responsible for advocating for clients' rights, developing and implementing programs to address social problems, and providing referrals to other services.
Education and Training
Most Assistente Sociale have a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field. Some employers may also require a master's degree in social work. In addition to formal education, Assistente Sociale must also complete supervised field experience, which typically involves working with clients under the supervision of a licensed social worker.
