You'll work with a variety of professionals, including epidemiologists, health care providers, and policymakers, to help develop and implement programs to improve the health of communities.
Education and Training
Most Public Health Statisticians have a master's or doctoral degree in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related field. Coursework in these programs typically includes statistics, epidemiology, environmental health, and public health policy. Many Public Health Statisticians also pursue certification from the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
