A Materials Artist is a specialized digital artist responsible for creating the surface appearances of 3D models used in video games, films, animation, architecture, and product visualization. They craft the textures, materials, and shaders that make digital objects look realistic or stylized, defining everything from the roughness of stone and the sheen of metal to the complex layers of skin or fabric.
