Strategic Analyst
Strategic Analysts are the architects of long-term plans for an organization. They influence decisions that impact the organization's sustainability, core competencies, and trajectory within the industry. Strategic Analysts use data and business intelligence to analyze the organization's environment and create actionable strategies to address evolving needs. Those interested in becoming Strategic Analysts may choose to pursue part-time or full-time studies to enter the field or develop their skills in an existing career in Strategic Analysis or an adjacent field.
Day-to-Day
Strategic Analysts may research and analyze financial statements, conduct market research, analyze customer behavior, and interpret economic trends. Using their findings, they may develop projections and forecasts to help organizations identify and capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks. The work is primarily desk-bound, but Strategic Analysts may have to attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, and other company leaders to present their findings.
Skills & Background Knowledge
Strategic Analysts typically have a strong foundation in business, finance, economics, or a related field. They are proficient in data analysis, mathematical modeling, and forecasting techniques. Strategic Analysts must be able to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences. Some may also need experience in project management and data visualization.
