Getting Started with Technology Startups

This course defines entrepreneurship and technology entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial concepts, processes, and support systems are introduced. Methods and strategies for idea and opportunity recognition and development are provided to help identify new product ideas and solutions.

Creating a Technology Startup Company

The course explores entrepreneurial ecosystems, systems thinking, and the Technology Adoption Life Cycle. Market research concepts and tools are introduced. Founder, key manager, and board member considerations are examined. The operational structures and processes of a tech startup are identified, and the Balanced Scorecard is presented as a tool for tracking critical performance metrics.

Forming, Funding, and Launching a Technology Startup Company

This course covers entrepreneurial finance, revenue models, and startup funding sources. Learners will build a revenue model, create a Financial Plan, and prepare an investor presentation. Business legal structures, Intellectual Property (IP), and ethics in a startup environment are also explored.
