Equity Indexes, Valuations, and Investment Vehicles

This course introduces equity indexes and covers the three main types of security market indexes. It reviews valuation approaches, factors, and challenges, including calculating WACC and after-tax cost of debt. The course concludes with a review of key equity investment vehicles such as mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, and private equity.

Bond and Equity Markets and Financial Regulation

(9 hours)
This course begins with a look at the role debt and equity plays in a firm's capital structure. We'll look at the main issuers of bonds and the different types of bonds they issue. We'll also review how to price a plain vanilla bond for the current market place.

Capital Markets Professional Certificate Examination

(1 hours)
Earn a professional certificate and stand out in your field. Complete the Capital Markets Professional Certificate Examination from the New York Institute of Finance. The exam comprises 40 questions, timed at 90 Minutes. To qualify for the certificate, learners must receive a grade of at least 70% or better.

Credit Derivatives and Equity and Bond IPO

(4 hours)
This course begins by examining credit derivatives and the participants of credit indices. We'll recognize the uses of CDS and the advantages of credit indices. We'll also cover lectures to understand the difference between primary and secondary markets, understand initial public offerings (IPO) and the anatomy of an IPO. We'll wrap up this course with a look at the major IPO participants and their role.

Money Markets, Foreign Exchange and Time Value of Money

(6 hours)
This course introduces the four core financial markets and the three main classes of derivatives. You will learn how to distinguish the global trends in volume for each of the plain vanilla financial products and show the macroeconomic reasons for those trends.

Derivatives, Futures, Swaps, and Options

(9 hours)
This course introduces derivatives, covering market players and their usage. It explores treasury futures, margin requirements, swaps, and interest rate swap pricing. The course concludes with option terminologies and swaptions.
