This online Web Design Principles course will give you a strong understanding of information and graphic design for the web/screen environment.

What does that actually mean?

Ask any graphic designer and they'll tell you that the web design medium is very different than the print design medium, so it's important to be able to create and utilize elements on your website which are optimized specifically for the web.

From graphic size and resolution to color space and element layout, graphic design for the web is purposeful.  Basically, information is only as good as its accessibility.

Effective information design allows users to find and understand content as efficiently as possible. The bigger the website, the more critical information design becomes.

Overall, you will build technical skills from HTML/XML and scripting to embedding rich media and understanding database connectivity.
