Módulo 1: La Astronomía como ciencia. Historia de la Astronomía. Similitudes y diferencias con otras ciencias. La observación astronómica.
Módulo 2: La luz, herramienta básica de la Astronomía. La información que la luz transporta. Naturaleza dual de la luz.
Módulo 3: Sistemas planetarios: nuestro sistema solar y otros sistemas. Descripción de los componentes del sistema solar. Planetas extrasolares. Formas de detección.
Módulo 4: Las estrellas, principales fuentes de luz e información sobre el cosmos. Nociones de evolución estelar. Estructura y dinámica interna de las estrellas
Módulo 5: Las galaxias, esas islas de luz. “Descubrimiento” de las galaxias. Componentes de las galaxias, estructura interna, movimientos.
Módulo 6: El Universo como un todo. Nociones de historia térmica del Universo, posibles escenarios futuros. La hipótesis de la materia oscura. Expansión acelerada del Universo.
Módulo 7: Telescopios. Criterios y consejos sobre la utilización de más apropiada de los diferentes tipos de telescopios, según las observaciones a realizar.
