Each chapter begins with a concise introduction to the medical specialty, and then delineates its relevant medical terms. In other words, it divides the medical specialty into word parts, which are usually body organs, and list their related medical terms with the help of the different medical prefixes and suffixes. In urology, for example, both nephr/ and ren/ are word roots referring to kidney (a body organ).
