Troubleshooting IT issues is one of the most valuable skills an IT professional can have. This course will introduce you to a variety of possible issues in information technology and describe and demonstrate the necessary tools to solve those issues.

IT systems are complex interactions of many different pieces of hardware and software. In order to keep these systems running, IT administrators and engineers need to understand correct protocol operation and the necessary tools to verify operations. In this course, Network Troubleshooting and Tools, you'll learn a variety of common issues in IT as well as the tools to use to identify and correct those issues. First you'll explore standard troubleshooting methodology to identify the source of issues in IT systems. Next, you’ll discover the tools needed to troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling issues. Then, you'll learn software tools used to verify proper operation of protocols, as well as how to use them to identify problems. Finally, you’ll examine common network issues, learning how to identify and correct the network problems. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of network troubleshooting needed to diagnose and resolve network issues.
